Setting Blogger template

I have had trouble with the blogger template. I use the "Minima" model, and the profile view was coming after the blog, making it a really long page. I saw that Tom Kyte uses the same model, so I shamelessly copied his template style (Thanks Tom).

However, even after copying, the blog was not looking right. So, here is what I did:
I copied the source as text file and adjusted the width of main under /* content*/ . I changed it from 609 to 605. It works fine now.

Note that, mozilla does render the page OK.
